dotDigital Group (LON:DOTD), a digital marketing company, has made the grade in the first stage of the European Business Awards.
dotDigital has become one of 50 remaining UK businesses, selected from a pool of 15,000 entrants in Europe, that will compete for the honour of to being a UK national champion.
The UK champions will then go on to compete in the overall European Business Award final in January 2013.
Some of 2011′s winners included Sweedish fashion company HM and French business Companeo, which finds suppliers and quotes for businesses.
dotDigital chief executive Peter Simmonds said: “dotDigital has been previous winners of regional and national business awards and now to be shortlisted as a national finalist for the European Business Awards is a huge achievement.”
In April dotDigtial said it was collaborating with eBay’s X.commerce and cross-channel marketing company e-Dialog, which broker Charles Stanley said would raise the company’s profile in the US.
The platform, which will be branded e-Dialog Express, is intended to enable sellers to manage abandoned shopping baskets more effectively, boost new acquisitions and increase order values.
dotDigital also provides other software as a service (SAAS) products such as content management systems and e-mail marketing solutions.
On the back of the news the share price has jumped 8 per cent to 10.8 pence.
