Free small business consults
Miller Slaughter, a management consultant with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of Western Kentucky University, will be at the Glasgow Barren County Chamber of Commerce from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 21, providing free small business consultations. The mission of the SBDC is to provide confidential one-on-one counseling at no charge for area business owners and those desiring to start a small business.

New number for DAV van
Any local veteran needing to ride the DAV van to the Veterans Hospital in Louisville for an appointment is advised to call the new number, 502-780-3245. The van travels to Louisville on Monday each week and leaves Glasgow at approximately 6 a.m. Roger Short, the coordinator for this area, asks that veterans call at least three days in advance.
USDA rep coming to Glasgow
The USDA Rural Development Office will have a representative at the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce from noon to 1 p.m. on March 23 to discuss home loan programs and repair loan/grant programs available to low-income residents of Barren County and to assist individuals with the prequalification package.
